This school is probably one of the reasons I moved from Wadesboro because I wanted my kids to have a better experience in schools.

This school is very deprived. No resources to work with. Very depressing. Discipline is indeed a problem with no support from administrators. I don't know where the funds are going because it is a Title 1 school. This school needs lots of help.

I also found the teachers standing there laughing as my child had a panic attack due to the bullying. Instead of stopping it they just stood there and laughed as if it was the funniest thing they had ever seen. I told them "you know as teachers I really would expect more from you!" As I stood there and gave my dehydrated terrified child a drink of water out of a bottle of water i had brought. They told me "Well its just hes acting ridiculous, doesn't he ever go outside" accusing me of keeping my child locked up instead of realizing that he acts a certain way due to his autism and acts a little different.

I think it was 4th grade when it all really started to go down hill. My son had a teacher named mrs shaw. She insisted that he take medication to calm him down during school because she had 20 (or something like that) kids in her class and "can't pay special attention to one child" even though that is what special needs kids really need, is special one on one attention in schools. unfortunately they offer no special ed to kids with autism there is no programs like that unless your child is low functioning, they only provide testing in a seperate room and sometimes they will take them out to a different class to play a computer game or color with mrs rosebud.

This is me and the one and only

I go there.So DUMB

When I got there I found my child crying his eyes out, several children were making buzzing noises (something that some autistic people have anxiety about as they are sensitive to too much sound all at once) the kids told him the fly's that were flying near the picnic tables and trashcans were bees.

While my child was in her class severe bullying was going on. both of my kids were subjected to being called F*g's during class just because their hair was a bit long and the principle wouldn't do anything about it even though there are cameras on the bus and in the hallways.

My Autistic son went to this school and id like to inform people that this is not a school that is friendly toward developmentally challenged kids.

Ms Copeland is the best match teacher

The next year in 5th grade was no better, he had developed a phobia of going outside, he was terrified that the bees would get him. The lunch room, you have to go down the sidewalk to another building in order to get to it, and the teachers couldn't be bothered with my son, some days they didn't bring him lunch and he hadn't eaten all day when he would come home. Some days they would tell me, "well if he wont go outside he will have to go home" denying my autistic child of an education because he is terrified of the outdoors.

Then my child developed a fear of going outside one day when Mrs shaw took their class to the facility located just across the street at the planetarium. They told me he was freaking out and to come and get him.

This school is truly horrific, I wish there were other options as far as schools to bring your children to when you live in this small town but unfortunately for me, I couldn't afford to drive them to another school out of town. Luckily we got the opportunity to move and get out of this situation.
